You will be greeted as you enter the Arrivals Terminal by one of our friendly staff. They will be holding a welcome board with our company logo on it. As they will often not know what you look like, please introduce yourself to them. If for some reason our staff is not there or is still occupied with other travelers, please note, that our office is just on the right side where all the Car Rental offices are lined on the outer foyer.
Airport Departure or Drop Offs
Your agreed drop off time will be written on your contract and reconfirmed with our team. Upon returning of vehicle, it must be retuned with full fuel as received and to the right location as agreed. One of our staff members will meet you at the airport and go over the drop off process. PLEASE allow time to proceed through with our drop off process. Note: All after hours hire needs to be pre-arranged prior to pick up or collect.
Hotel Delivery or Collects
FREE delivery or collect within Apia town area (any accommodation within 5km radius of Apia City centre). PLEASE note – hotel delivery and collects must be confirmed and approved by Moana on availability of time and location.
Afterhours Pick Ups or Drop Offs

Service made on availability and on arrangement, service fee is applicable for all after hours.
Fuel
Hire with FULL Fuel Tank and return back with FULL Fuel Tank. If for some reason vehicle is not returned back with full fuel a service fee of $25 tala will be added on top of fuel charge.
Insurance
Included in the daily rate of your rental vehicle. All vehicles are insured and has an applicable excess to pay if a damage is sustained regardless of who is at fault.
Excess Reduction Options
Available to you during your booking process, where you can choose to reduce your applicable excess or decline extra fees.
Bond
A security bond is required with any vehicle booking. The bond can be in cash or be
transferred into a nominated bank account provided by the owner or will be
authorized against your credit card.
The bond is fully refundable provided the vehicle is returned on time to the correct
location, clean and tidy, undamaged, and with a full fuel tank.
Bonds are to be refunded through the credit card
provided by the Hirer when paying the bond or by Bank Transfer to a nominated
account provided by the Hirer.
Extras
- You must be 21 years of age to hire
- All drivers must hold a valid ‘Full Driver’s License’
- WST$21 for Samoa Temporary License valid for a month – all foreign license will require a temporary license
- 20% Deposit required to secure your booking
- Peak Season – 50% Deposit is required to secure your booking
- All rentals hires need to be paid before starting of hire
- Child seat or booster seats at $25 for hire (only on availability)
- All Extra Drivers will need to register before driving any Moana Rentals vehicles
- Cross Island allowed
- Credit card surcharge fee is 5%

- Extensions are subject to availability
Cancellation Policy
(administration fee applies)
- 100% of the total rental if cancelled on the day of pick up or no show
- 50% of the total rental if cancelled 1 day prior to pick up
- 10% of the total rental for any other cancellations
